Ever wondered what DNA is? All living things including you have DNA or deoxyribonucleic acid. Using strawberries, we will perform a scientific experiment using household materials to extract the DNA. The neat thing about strawberry DNA is that you can see it with the naked eye! The program takes place in the new Fairbanks Museum STEM Lab with a maximum of 10 participants per session.

Members: $10
Non-members: $15

Until the spread of Covid-19 virus is under control, all campers and staff members will be required to wear masks at all times during camps. Everyone is required to be vaccinated or to be tested every day. If a camper or staff member shows any symptoms of sickness (cough, fever, congestion), please stay home. We appreciate your help in keeping this virus from spreading.

We are optimistic about the health of our campers and educators. If we have to cancel this program before it begins because of a rise in Covid-19 infections, all payments will be refunded in full.
